Prosperity Now –In All Things Give Thanks!

Rev. Eunice spoke on gratitude as a spiritual practice, in her talk: In all things Give Thanks-this past Sunday  emphasizing that gratitude is not limited to holidays but is a way of living that transforms perception, deepens faith, and opens us to greater possibilities.

The Universality of Gratitude

She shared a true story of a humpback whale that became entangled in crab traps near the Golden Gate Bridge. After a rescue team spent hours freeing it, the whale gently nudged each diver before swimming away, as though expressing appreciation. She used this story to illustrate that gratitude is not exclusive to humans; many forms of life exhibit it.

The Power of Gratitude

Drawing from spiritual teachings and authors like Barbara De Angelis, she explained that gratitude:

  • Brings us into the present moment
  • Expands awareness and reveals overlooked blessings
  • Shifts us from victimhood to empowerment
  • Strengthens faith and spiritual confidence
  • Opens consciousness to new choices and possibilities

She emphasized that everything begins in consciousness, and gratitude helps shift consciousness toward openness and creativity.

A Story About Hidden Blessings

She shared a parable about a king who accidentally cut off his toe. His advisor insisted it was a blessing, but the king, offended, threw him into a pit. The next day the king was captured by headhunters, who released him after noticing his missing toe. Realizing the advisor had been right, the king apologized. The advisor then added that being thrown into the pit had also been a blessing—otherwise he would have been the sacrifice.
The story reinforced the teaching: “In all things, give thanks.”

Practicing Gratitude

Rev. Eunice offered simple, accessible ways to cultivate gratitude:

  1. Begin the day with “Thank you, God, for my life.”
  2. Bless the food we eat, recognizing it as nourishment and a gift.
  3. Find someone to thank each day, strengthening connection and appreciation.

Conclusion

Rev. Eunice closed by reminding the community that gratitude is a powerful spiritual tool available in every moment. When we choose to see life through the lens of gratitude, we open ourselves to greater clarity, deeper peace, and an expanded sense of possibility. Gratitude, she emphasized, is both the path and the practice that continually leads us back to the awareness that all is well.

Nov. 16th:

Prosperity Now – Tithing for Success

This month we’re exploring Prosperity Now, and this week Rev. Eunice reminded us that prosperity isn’t something “out there.” It begins within our consciousness—in how we see God as our Source in every area of life.

She opened with the story of a wanderer who carried a small wooden chest said to contain “the riches of the universe.” The chest opened only when he stopped depending on the world and began trusting God within him. And when he chose to help someone else, the chest opened again.
Inside was a note:
“What you thought was in the box is actually in you.”

That’s the message of Prosperity Now:
The inner Source is always where our supply comes from.

Eric Butterworth put it beautifully:

“Giving is your consent to let God’s flow move through you.”

So the real question isn’t what we give, but where we give from.
When we give from compassion, empowerment, and generosity—not fear or sympathy—we lift others and ourselves. Life mirrors back the consciousness we give from. The Universe always says YES to whatever we hold.

Rev. Eunice shared her own early tithing journey as a young single mother writing her tithe check with trembling hands. But every time she gave from trust rather than fear, life opened. Opportunities appeared. Support showed up. She discovered firsthand:
You cannot outgive God.

Tithing, she said, is simply “training wheels” for a giving consciousness. It teaches us that:

  • God is the Source.

  • We are vessels of infinite supply.

  • We receive according to the consciousness we give from.

  • What we give becomes the seed; where we give from becomes the power.

This week, we’re invited to remember:
The box is within us.
The Source is within us.
And when we give from truth, abundance flows.
